Meet Alexxis, the face behind Howlite…

Although Alexxis has been in the industry for 10 years, Howlite was founded in April 2019. We started our journey in Point Loma, and after 3 years found our home in the heart of Hillcrest, San Diego. Howlite is named after a crystal/stone that is known for its stress-relieving properties and ability to calm the mind. When Alexxis started the business she wanted to create a space that was calming and inviting to any and all looking to relax but also receive amazing results with their skin. Howlite is here to calm your senses while leaving you with bare-skin confidence!

Where Passion Meets Purpose:

Clean, Plant-Based Skincare Rooted in Nature and Nurtured by Experience

Alexxis has been a licensed esthetician since 2015 but her love for the beauty industry has been since she was just a little girl watching her mom do her hair and makeup every morning. After graduating Chico State University with a degree in Communications, she worked in the corporate world, where soon after she realized that did not fulfill her soul. Shortly after she went to beauty school and never looked back!

She believes in clean, plant-based skincare that actually works—no filters required and results you can feel with a glow that speaks for itself. She wanted to create Howlite as a stress-free zone where science meets nature, and you can fully relax, laugh a little, and leave feeling your best self.
